Who we are

Albanian Z-Generation In Canada (“we”, “us”) operates this independent community website at www.z-generationemigrants.com. We are not affiliated with the Government of Canada, IRCC, or the governments of Albania, Kosovo, or North Macedonia.

Information we collect

We only collect what you actively choose to send us:

• Name (or “Anonymous”) and message text you enter into the Share Your Story, Questions, or Contact forms.
• Standard technical request information (IP address, browser type, timestamp) automatically logged by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.

We do not sell personal data. We do not run marketing email lists. We do not require accounts to browse the site.

Where your submissions are stored

Submissions are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase). Every submission enters a private moderation queue as pending. Only after human review is it either approved and shown publicly, or rejected and hidden. You can request deletion of any submission you made by writing to the email below.

Email notifications

When you submit a story, question, or comment, an internal notification email is sent to our editorial address so we can moderate it. The email contains the submission text, the name you entered, and the submission date. It is not shared with third parties.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses only essential browser storage needed to render pages and remember interface state, plus a Cloudflare Turnstile cookie that appears when you fill in a public form (Story, Question, Comment, Report, or Contact) so we can distinguish real people from bots. We do not currently run web analytics or third-party marketing tracking.

Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Every public form on this site is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. When you submit a form, a Turnstile token is sent to Cloudflare so it can confirm you are not an automated script. Cloudflare's handling of this data is governed by their privacy policy. We do not receive or store the raw signals Cloudflare uses.

Advertising (forward-looking disclosure)

This site does not currently display advertising. If Google AdSense is enabled in the future:

• Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can learn more about third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info.

This section will be updated with the actual configuration on the day ads are enabled.

Your rights

You can ask us to correct or delete any submission tied to you. Send requests to zgenerationemigrants@gmail.com. We will action reasonable requests within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult and young-adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted content, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
